This online tool will add a sequential number to each line of text/list and can place text to either side of the number.  NOTE: Javascript is required.

pad each sequential line number. (e.g. 0001 ... 0010 ... 0100 ... 1000 ...)

Add this text to the left of each line number such as the number symbol. (e.g. #001)

Add this text to the right of each line number such as a period and space. (e.g. 001. )
